June 25, 2015 DIEZEL the Chocolate LAB!
Diezel has been on some big road trips, but by far this would be the longest of his 3 year old life. If you know me then you know what a softy I am for awesome dogs. Diezel is THAT dog. He and I have a relationship described by Shirl Girl as a “bromance.” She claims its more than what I have with my brothers from another mother! I am sure all Labs love to swim, but Diezel likes to swim more than all those other labs combined! He will chase a stick or a tennis ball in the water even when he can no longer doggy paddle. Sometimes we feel sorry for him because he’s just plain wiped out and I have to stop him from being swim crazy.
But he knows on road trips it means one thing and one thing only…SWIMMING IS OUR TOP PRIORITY EVERY SINGLE DAY!
The entire backseat of the truck dubbed “CASPER,” because its all white and hauls ass like a ghost, has been converted to a Doggy platform fitted with carpet and a SPECIAL dog mattress! He’s got lots of room to get up and walk around back there if he doesn’t like what’s happening.
He pops in and out of the truck on his own and he lets you know when its time to stop with a nuzzle to the back of the head. Diezel is quite smart and possibly smarter than a 5th grader! Actually FOR SURE smarter than any 5th grader from the United States!
